Short answer. Type a word and the tool lists words that end with the same sound, grouped by number of syllables. It matches sound, not spelling.
How the rhymes are found
Two words rhyme when they sound the same from the last stressed vowel to the end. Cat and flat rhyme because both end in the sound "at".
The tool uses a pronunciation dictionary, so it matches sound, not spelling. For a word it does not know, it falls back to words that end with the same letters and tells you so.
Worked example
Example. The word cat has 27 rhymes, including bat, brat, chat, fat, flat and gnat.
